I have three placards posted around the boat
-- the OIL placard required by USCG,
-- the GARBAGE placard required by USCG, and
-- the CARBON MONIXIDE placard required by Washington State.
I've "been told" that I also need an MSD placard, which states the prohibition against discharging sewage in coastal waters. But I can't find any regulation that requires it, and the closest thing I can find is a "waste management plan" placard that (as far as I can tell) is only required for commercial fishing vessels.
Anyone have a pointer to a relevant regulation, and/or a pointer to a useful placard to post in the head (probably inside the locker near the wire-tied valve that controls overboard discharge)
