Rocna Anchor/Roller Pics?

Hi all,

Does anyone have any pictures or experience with putting a Rocna 33 on the bow of an 80's Ericson 34/35/38 (I think they all have the same anchor/stemhead fitting)?

We currently have a Delta 35 which thru-bolts in the anchor fitting which I like, and the thick bolt conveniently doubles as an attachment point for our Asymetrical tack. We could put a bail up there, but I don't think it would be quite as strong, and I REALLY like the security of a thru-bolted anchor - crossing a bouncy Columbia River bar one time we had the anchor start to break loose from the boat - it was not fun crawling up to the bow and tying it back down.

I chose the Rocna Vulcan for both fitment and because I think its the better design. Its all the benifits of the Spade, but without its issues.
Here is a link to some pictures of my Rocna on the bow.

I also used to put a stainless pin through my previous anchor but I now I follow Rocna's recommendation and installed a bail, and lash the anchor to the bow. In a real rush I could always cut the lashing, plus they say it is possible to get a bent pin and then you need a hack saw to deploy your anchor.
I also made an anchor grabber that holds amazingly well even with out the lashing.

We have a Rocna (I think it's a 20?) on our 38-200. Right now it's holding us in gusty 18-25knots on the lee side of a lagoon in the Tuamotu atolls. The wind waves are big enough that our bow occasionally goes underwater. We snapped a snubber about 4 hours ago. The bottom here is covered with rocks and we're in 40' of water so we're on a 3:1 scope 5/16 HT chain with a buoy holding up the chain about midway. In other words, yes the Rocna works on our boats and yes they are EXCEPTIONAL anchors! Sorry internet here is too slow to post pic but if you search my past posts I think you can find a few.
