That's a deck-stepped mast, right? Is the mast up?
The compression post is more than adequate to support the mast in resting mode but you're still going to want to use a bottle jack to lift the deck up out of the way of the bulkhead. They're $20 or less at Harbor Freight. Remember to loosen the shrouds a lot before jacking.
