Bilge Wine Rack?

I have to admit that the beer-cooler possibilities of that space have not escaped me. I had thought of installing a partial bulkhead or screen about halfway back, so that ice and bottles would stay in the forward bilge but melt-water would drain back to the sump.

My boat came with a bulkhead there helping support the floor. I assumed that it was original.
The bulkhead is almost exactly one wine bottle length behind the fore bilge access. And, yeah, it's got a cutout to let water though which is just a bit smaller than a beer can.
