Ericson Glasses

Ericson Glasses (two)

THE WRITTEN TEXT

These are glasses made from wine bottles. The blue (pictured) is one I have had for 15 years. Still whole. I never take glass into the cockpit while under way. House rule. Blue is a rare color. What I can readily produce is a glass made from a Bordeaux bottle. The smaller version holds 12 ounces. It would come in different colors and each would have the Ericson logo laser-etched into it. Lips are smooth. Some glasses will have an indented bottom (punt); some will not. If you are interested in a matched set (all the same color, same bottom) I can do that. It will take longer. I CANNOT do custom etching with boat's name on each glass, as it would make each job a custom job and there is no economy of scale in that. Unless you are rich. Normal issue is random selection, because that is the fastest. If you have an e-mail, I have an iPhone and can shoot you (figuratively and literally) a picture of what I have and then you can pick and choose. I am working on this whole thing right now, and ASSUME that I can produce the glasses and get them out the door for $10 each. Shipping is what it is. You pay for shipping. Am estimating less than $10 FedEx Ground.

Text on glasses, generally, is on my website: www.mainsheetpartners.com.

About Reefer

Um, yes. When I named by sailboat, 1976, I was known to engage in some =
illegal smoking. We all did. Thus: REEFER. Oddly, I was never boarded to =
the USCG for the name of my boat. However, when I would call for a radio =
check on Channel 16 I would get back: =93Reefer, got you loud and clear, =
Tampa Bay. Is the name of your dinghy =91Roach?'=94 Didn=92t have a =
dinghy. And, coming back from Cuba the last time I sailed down there, I =
was inspected by US Customs in Key West. Nice officer said, =93Interesting=
name for a boat you have there, Mr. Stinemetz.=94 I grinned and said,=94 =
Take a look at that.=94 I had a 1960s roach clip, with the peace sign =
soldered into the design, in a shadow box on the bulkhead. The Label on =
the box said =93IN CASE OF EMERGENCY BREAK GLASS. Customs officer, =
smiled and, looking at me, said, =93Man, that=92s a work of art.=94 =
Thems were the good days.

Well that is absolutely fabulous. It is! When most of 'our' age group runs around denying everything of the past, a hero steps up to the plate.

'America, I did not even peck that little fat girl on the cheek, but I did however drink the bong water'.

My heart is warmed..

Crazy Times

As a lifetime professional musician, I spent many years around the more mellow clouds of smoke. I never dreamed it would be legal, I hoped, but never thought it would actually happen.

Ironic how now that it's legal, I have no desire to run out and buy a bong! A blue glass with Ericson and Reefer etched on it though,,,,,,,:woot:

Like my old buddy Hunter Thompson used to say, "When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro."
