Main AC panel on E30+

I just purchased an '85 E30+ and have been catching up on the PO's deferred maintenance. Notice that with the shore power connected, there is a flickering neon light on the main AC panel under the sink. Wondering if the flickering is normal (acknowledging the shore power is connected), or should it be on completely?

Any info would be appreciated.

flickering light

It's been a couple years since I sold my 30+, but as I recall the light on the panel is a reverse polarity indicator & as such should not be on if everything is correct. The flickering is probably not good, in any case. Unplug from shore power and pull the face of the panel off to check for loose connections and/or any other obvious problems. If your not comfortable w/110V electricty get a friend or professional to look at it. Stray 110V on board can cause lots of problems and be fatal in the wrong circumstances!
Have fun & sail fast
