Today while shrink wrapping Pineapple in the boatyard we noticed a couple of streaks of water stains running down from the bottom of the rudder tube onto the rudder. During this past season there was quite a bit of water finding it's way into the bilge that I figured was coming from the packing nut. My feeling is that if water can lead out, it can leak in. Is there packing in the rudder post that we should be inspecting as well?
