window leaks saga

Have been battling window leaks for a while - and I am getting pretty cynical about the yards in the Annapolis area. So this time I had the trapezoidal windows on my E35-2 "professionally" rebedded by a (not cheap) contractor - including the frames and the glass. But one window - port forward at the aft corner - is still leaking. The contractor thinks the water is coming in at the cabin top handrails and finding it's way to the portlight. Does not sound far fetched to me. Does it make sense?

Are the windows original to the boat? Because if they are, and depending on the age of the boat, I hope you didn't pay much for the rebedding. From my experience going down the road of trying to rebuild my windows, and seeing several sets of original windows removed from Ericsons (which I intended to rebuild), in my opinion they are not worth trying to rebuild. I replaced all four of my trapezoidal windows with new ones from Bomon for less than $1,400.
