Original Battery installation & Upgrade to GC batteries

I was looking (for something else, of course) and found these pix in an archive.
Perhaps other Olson owners might be interested in one of our first changes. Not shown here is the second emergency 12 volt battery that was installed under the aft cabin berth in its own plywood & epoxy enclosure.
We only exercise that spare battery a few times a year; it is an AGM and so has a very low self-discharge rate.

The stock battery setup from EY was a pair of group 24 12-volt flooded batteries in plastic boxes under the bottom companionway step. This did put the lead in the right place.

Anyway, documented here for historical trivia fans.
