Anyone ever been to Honga River area?

We were thinking of exploring the Honga River area on the east side of Hooper Island this weekend. It's not far from Solomons, but we've never been there. Anyone ever been? Is it worth the trip?
Thanks,
Chris

We passed through that area a few years ago heading north from Smith Island and Crisfiield. Beautiful tidal countryside, sparsely populated. Tangier Sound is wide open, but you'll be mostly motoring on the way in and out. Lovely anchorage just south of Asquith Island on the Honga. Hope you enjoy.

Always wanted to head up that way but looked a bit shallow for me. Chris you can most likely do it with your draft. Take some pics.

Will do...
I'm thinking of heading to the spot in the attachment.
We'll do some exploring and let you know what we see for depths. I'll also check out the spots over west of there (close to the island) and see- I think there might be a little more water over there.
