There is a plastic pane glued to the underside of the access hatch over the starter batteries. Why is it there ? I obviously don't mind it being there but it sure has me curious why someone went to the trouble. Thanks, -Sven

I got the teak for the forward hatch ... 8' by 4 3/4" by 1 3/8" ... beautiful, but it should be at $12 per foot ! I have a fairly good idea how I'm going to make the frame, but I'm less sure about the plexiglass bending. I'm assuming a 1/2" is thick enough and I'm planning on smokey gray...
