    E30 topside water leaks - deck hull connection

    So my 1969 Ericson 30 has some water leaking in from somewhere in the overhead (go figure huh?) While I know there are only ten million places it could be getting in I began to wonder about how the deck and the hull come together. Does anyone know how these two fit together?

    I bought my 30-1 last winter and it seems to have a lot of weather helm. The mast head was cocked a little forward so I move it back to just aft of center, but I am not sure that helped.     mast weep holes

    I own an Ericson 30-1 built in '69. the other day a guy rowed up to the boat and told me I need a weep hole at the base of the mast or it would fill with water and rust off. So what do you all think?
