we used to have the pull down accordion style blinds on our Ericson that worked well. No clashing. On our new boat we have snap on flat window covers that are brilliant and very easy to make and use. Plus they look great! I will get down to the boat and take a pic and post.

I haven’t done this, but someone recently shared to tie your buffer to a halyard and it takes away the weight of the machine. It doesn’t solve the waterline issue but may help save a bit of strain

The E30 has been reduced and is definitely negotiable. She’s been a great boat for us and is fully outfitted. We have moved up to a Nordic 40. Still love our E30, but we are planning to cruise further and longer.
