Can anyone on the forum tell me if they have successfully used an outboard on an Ericson 30? My A-4 has some major issues ans I am considering an outboard for the upcoming season.

If anyone has removed a gas tank from an Ericson 30 (1967 vintage) I could use some advice. Can the tank be removed through the starboard lazarette in one piece? What has been used as a replacement tank?

As new owner of an old Ericson I hope someone can tell me the best way to inspect the chainplates? I believe they are original to the boat. I also found that the seacocks for the cockpit drains are not true seacocks but gate valves. How difficult is it to replace these with real seacocks? Last...
