    cockpit drain Thanks Loren, My plan was to keep it in the water during winter. I was thinking that any ice expansion wouldn't crack the thru hull it was expanding upward but was not sure.

    Does anyone know how to winterize cock-pit thru hulls? My Ericson 28 has cockpit thru hulls that need to be left open to let rain water drain. How do I ensure that they do not freeze and crack? Help!

    Yes. When in neutral it reaches full RPM. When in gear it is significantly weaker. The boat also barely moves forward at full throttle.

    My Universal inboard diesel has recently weakened for unknown reasons. At full throttle it reaches 2000 rpm but the boat is barely moving. It used to max out at 3000 rpm. I'm new at engine repair. Any recommendations?
