More info needed on dropping the keel
I've read the thread and it has helped but I should have asked a better question. Being some distance from our boat I need to build a parts list, tool list and most important a procedure for dropping this piece of lead. I am mechanically inclined and can...
Obligatto is now 24 yrs young and she's getting a smile in the front of the hull keel joint. we've decided to move her to the coast and this needs to be addressed. so its keel time in real time.
She does have her own cradle so a stand can be fabricated to steady. the keel. Does the mast need...
Her interior is the original oiled mahogany and teak. Any advise? Brand of varnish? I'm wondering about Smith's CPES and any residual oil issues although I can call Smith & Co. for that.

Well, we are contimplating a sailing lifestyle change, out of the Great Lakes to the Chesapeake.
Our boat (35/3 1987 ) has always been in fresh water so I need to set her up for a salty life. Any help on her mechanics / electricals /etc.?
Thx in advance.

Also it would be time to add a cunningham and convert to single line reefing. Our boat is still stock w/slab reefing...
You're asking ME for help :)
Emerald, I'm still laughing!
Hell it didn't work for me in any fashion. BTW I have used many gallons of CPES on my Cedar home with geat success. Go figure.
