FS: Ericson 32-2 Sails and some S2 7.9 sails... and a bomar hatch

Its easy to tell what model E32 you have... First by the year. If it was built in the 70s, you most likely have a mk2. If it was built in the 80s its most likely a mk3. You can also tell by the number of small port holes you have. 3 on each side in front of the ericson long windows is a mk2...

FS: Ericson 32-2 Sails and some S2 7.9 sails... and a bomar hatch

All of the headsails except for the 170 have luff tape. The Ericson sails should be #6 luff tape, and the S2 sails are #5 luff tape. As for the roller furling use... It doesn't have a UV strip on it, and it was made to go from tack hook to high point on the rig. However, if your rig is...

FS: Ericson 32-2 Sails and some S2 7.9 sails... and a bomar hatch

Ok... so I've been racing my S2 7.9 and the ericson has many sails just sitting in the basement- so it is time to reduce inventory a bit. The I=38, J=13, P=31.5, E=13 Here is what I've got and what I think they are worth- Hood Mainsail, Dacron, 1998 Sail. It is tripple stiched with UV...

    FS: E32-2 170% Genoa

This is a dacron, 4 oz most likely, 170% genoa for an E-32 standard rig. The sail is older, but still VERY useable. Great for those light air days that there is just no breeze. Sail has hanks, all my sails are now #6 luff tape. Asking $350.00, e-mail me if interested.

    PSC's Next Step With EY.com

Gene, This is great news! Thank You and PS for the support. Its amazing to see that there will still support for old owners, like my dad who bought and still has his 1973 E32-2, to the people who are soon to be ericson owners. Happy New Year! :egrin:

Why Should Pacific Seacraft Support EY.c?

Gene, I've been with this website since the begining... I also had my own website before this one called "ericson library". I have been helping people out with their questions for a long time now just about general information and repair information. I do this while going to college full...

Labor cost for the instrument replacement?

Usual rate is around 50-60 an hour by a buisness and you might be lucky enough to find someone who will do it on the side for 20-25 an hour. I know thats something around what we charge. Where they will bite you hard is in the price of the instruments because any company installing them will...

    Standard Horizon Depth Finder Questions

The in hull puck I am talking about only needs a layer of thick dish soap put between it and the hull if you wish to test it before actually mounting it to the hull. I prefer to use these for depth readings now a days, because it doesn't require a thru hull fitting. Plus it is cheaper then a new...

    Standard Horizon Depth Finder Questions

You could easily have a break in the line somewhere... or the transducer may have gone bad. Follow the line foward to the transducer and see what you can't find... Worse case, you can buy a "puck" transducer that reads through the hull... (Standard Horizon model bought from West Marine...

    Bottom paint removal

Watch out if your going to use a sander like that to sand the bottom of your boat!!! That will make the surface VERY unfair! I use a tool very much like that to grind into fiberglass for repairs of cracks that go through the hull... its more for removing material quickly and deeply... not...

    Gelcoat Revival

Here is what I have seen and why- Awlgrip bubbles- Awlgrip below the waterline, or a winter cover shrink wrapped was left on the boat all summer long without vents. Awlgrip becomes dull after time- Owner used blue tarp to cover his boat during the winter all the way down to the...

    Roller Furler manufacturer?

I would only use a furler like that for a Code 0, or gennaker sail... you cannot (no matter what anyone says) go to weather with one of those units. (unless the boat is like a JY15) Cary
