28+ INVICTUS
We are considering purchasing this boat. Can anyone tell us
the purpose of the zippers in the cabin head liner? (ceiling)
also, any pros and/or cons about this boat?

The zippers are there to give you access to the blocks and cleats thru-mounted on the house top.

If you are really lucky the zipper pulls won't be corroded and will still work...

Just noticed - Clinton, CT - I have a cousin in Clinton!

The zipper pulls I found at the local fabric stores did not work for me; very cheap and did not fit well.

For original YKK pulls try Outdoor Wilderness Fabrics. I believe I used the #5 pulls. Here is a link to another thread regarding zipper repair with a link to OWF:

As far as sailing characteristics of the 28+ I can't comment authoritatively, but I have a 30+ which sails very nicely. The large main sail usually necessitates reefing early, but once done the boat balances well and can handle some pretty stiff winds.
