Mort,

I used formica from Lowe's. I used a heat gun to remove the old formica, after removing the sink and wood trim. You have to take your time heating it, but it comes right up. I then used adhesive remover to remove all the glue off the plywood, then a lite sanding. Plywood was good as new and ready for the new formica. Then only hard part was using the dremel to counter sink for the hinges I used, putting in the hinges took longer then it took to take up the old counter top and put down new. And we love the new look. Take care.
