1986 35' MkIII - Deck Drain/Fill Locations

On my recently purchased Ericson, I have a removable access cover about three inches in diamater on the port quarter, just aft of the waste pumpout access. I also have the three water fill points, and one diesel. Does anyone know what this larger one is? I have the original documentation and can not find any reference.

Thanks.

I believe that is the cover for a Dorade vent that leads to the quarter berth. If you look behind and just aft of the electrical panel you will see a box with a drain and a vent hose that leads to the vent just aft of the electrical panel. I think most people have removed this vent and capped it off.

Dorade Vent?

Ray - that seems to make sense. Given your hint, the manual does refer to a dorade vent aft that should be removed when there is any heavier sailing.

Thanks.
