Bulkhead Repair

I am considering the purchase of an E 30+ for a very good price. One thing I noticed as did a recent survey was that the the main bulkhead has some rot in it near the chainplate. If I took this boat I would want to replace the bulkhead. I am currently in the middle of a similar job on a Bristol 22. I'd like to know if anyone out there has tackled this job on an Ericson. I could use some advice. Thanks.

There's a bit on this out there and, sorry to say, I've contributed to it.

I'm in the middle of my third bulkhead patch (I haven't replaced any bulkheads per se) and will post pictures on it and the second patch when they're wrapped up in a few weeks.

Bulkhead

Tenders, thanks for your reply. I just got back from the boat and took some pictures. I'll post them tomorrow. Too pooped now, time for a martini. Anyway, I'd like to know how far you can gut the interior of the E-30+. I'd have to do this repair from the head side since the seat framework in the salon is all one piece of fiberglass. I may attempt a repair similar to yours. It appears there is some delamination on the bottom of the bulkhead too.
