E28+ Rub Rail Plastic Extrusion

On Oct. 7th we had a nor'easter rip through Long Island Sound, and it kicked up 50 knot winds and 6 foot waves at Morris Cove in New Haven harbor. The Aluminum casting on the bow was broken in half and the rub rail came loose all the way to the stern. The force of the pennant also broke part of the plastic extrusion which holds in the rub rail. A 1 foot section near the bow is gone.

I am having the Aluminum bow piece welded and powder coated, and I can get the hard rubber insert from Wefco Rubber. I have not been able to find a source for the plastic extrusion. Does anyone know who was the original manufacturer or where a source is??

I do have one option if the OEM part is not available. I could design a section in SolidWorks and then have it made out of one of several very tough materials using the SLS process. Any other ideas out there.

Thanks,
