COMBI Wind Direction

Has anyone tried to fix the multi-unit COMBI instruments that come on the 30+? The wind direction component seems to be electro-mechanical and has stopped working. I think the problem is in the unit itself. I took the unit out, but have not attempted to take it apart yet.

Any thoughts?
