Well it finally happened this weekend. As I lowered my jib it hung-up a few feet from the top and I noticed the twin groove aluminum foil had seperated and would not allow the jib to lower. This foil has been beat up over the years and it's now time to replace it. Got a couple questions for the forum.
1. Since I don't race, I see there is a Harken single groove foil for crusers. Anyone have experience with this? Any problems using it with original Harken roller gear? Assume this would also be cheaper than Harkens dual groove racing foil, plus it's round so should furl easier..
2. What is the forestay length on tall rig E-34?
Any other input from folks who have doe this would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Frank Quinn
