Mystery of shaft alignment...not for me.

When I replaced my shaft, cutless bearing and shaft coupling (plus flex coupling) I was able confirm that my shaft came out slightly to port and cleared the rudder by a small margin. Writeup somewhere out on the site.

Chris and others with an apparent off center prop.... seems to me the controlling point is the position of the strut. move it very slightly port or starboard and the effect on the shaft prop end is magnified. Seems to me the shaft cutless could have handled a slight angle change and the engine could have also adjusted. alas, all this is theory since I'm not moving the strut. But in my opinion either this is the smoking gun, or the hull is not symetrical.
