Need comment on prop size

I have an e-39 with a Mistubishi 37HP and a Hurth trans ( it's not the 2:1 but the 2.?:1 one), and I have a MaxProp available for a few hours that is 14"D. I got hold of Max-Prop and they suggested a 16" at $2850 but the 14" one is only $126.50.
Does anyone know if the smaller prop will be adequate, or the size of the origional 5424 prop which is whats on there now.
If it makes it better I can reinstall my older 2:1 transmission.

Not sure but I assume you are looking at ebay. That price is likely to go up near the end of the auction. If you can get it at that price though, buy it. You can always resell it.

I bid that much and it was under the Reserve. The seller offered it at that price on a "second Chance offer"
