Nancy and I will not be flying a spinnaker. We will go looking for an asymmetric spinnaker to fly without a pole, but that's as extreme as we'll get.
I'm considering the possibility that we might want to use the pole (in apparently very good shape, just needs paint) to help hoist the dingy on board, but I think that purpose is better served by a shorter pole (which we already have).
So, what to do with the current pole ? Should we bring it to Minnies for a trade or would it be worth something to anyone here ? The replacement cost is too high to just cargo-shift it but any reasonable suggestions would be appreciated.
