Hull and Sail Number mismatch

Gmilburn

Member III
A quick curiosity: I have finally gotten my E-29 in the water and sailed for the first time last weekend. After almost a year's worth of work and refitting on the hard--it was a (forgive the pun) a breath of fresh air. However, when I finally raised the main, it had sail number 519--yet the hull is clearly 515. Any reason for the mismatch in numbers?

Thanks,
Gary

2 #515's?

Gary, If it was ever raced there's a possibility that #515 was already spoken for and replacing the 5 w/ a 9 would make sense as they pretty much look alike(been there, done that). Then again the sail "may" have come from a different boat.
