Self Steering systems

Does anyone have 1st hand experience using either a Hydrovane or a Capehorn self steering system. I like both for the ability to off center mount so as not to loose the swim ladder. Our boat is a 35-3. Any thoughts?

I have experience with both.

The Cape Horn is far superior to all other vanes I have used which are too numerous to list here. Suffice it to say most of them.

If you want more information contact me back channel and I am more than willing to share information about them all and the sea miles that I have been bunk mates with them.
