Sail cover for e27

Boom length & sail cover

Recently recieved measurements from another EYo member and also measured my boom, both measured 10 feet 7.5 inches. I believe your main sail foot is 10 feet but the boom is longer. So, if you are having a cover made I think you want to go with at least 11 feet to wrap the end of the boom.

Resist the temptation and measure it before you order anything. You never know what modifications were done to your boat over the years, and what's the point of saving a few days now in exchange for years of enduring something that doesn't quite fit right?

I like to have a mainsail cover long enough to zip around the front of the mast, and extend beyond the clew. But it should be shorter enough to tie off to the end of the boom to keep it tight, IMO. I know others prefer to extend it past the end of the boom, and each has it's advantages, I'm sure.
