For sale: Prop Protector (shaft blade cutter)
This is a used Prop Protector, used to cut lines wrapping around the shaft/propeller, is in excellent condition. Price is $145 plus shipping. The new price is $330. It mounts on a 1" shaft and is extremely simple and easy to maintain. With its round 3.5" diameter razor sharp blade it cuts lines that wrap around the shaft. Complete information is at www.prop-protector.com I am selling this only because I race a sailboat and wish to reduce drag.
The screws in the cutter are special (and cost extra when new) in that the cutter can be mounted while the boat is in the water. Two additional screws are provided for dry installation with medium grade loctite. An additional set screw locks up tight to the shaft to prevent turning.
