Member I
Hello all,
How I can check my motor mounts?
Can I replace them without pooling motor out?
Thanks,

This was just discussed about a month ago. Do a search on motor mounts and you should find it. It was a very good thread

Shake...Rattle and Roll !

The E35II Method.
1. Disconnect Prop Shaft Flange.
2. Move Engine FORCEFULLY side to side and back and forth
Listen for clunky metal to metal sounds. Mounts should be firm and stiff
not MUSHY feeling. The mounts either break their sockets and come loose
or get old and MUSHY from use / age and oil spillage.
3. If you are on the original 89' mounts...replace them
4. You will need to raise engine 2"-3" over the studs to replace mounts.
5. The new Beta came with R&D Mounts (www.pyiinc.com). Beta did not
recommend using the Bushings Inc. mounts.
6. Carefully align Prop Shaft Flange to Motor Flange :nerd:

The engine mount steel frame for the old engine was completely broken
when I did the Test  I ended up replacing the rails right down to
the hull and installing a new engine.

Good Vibrations :egrin: :egrin:
