I went for a new Tank
Greetings,
A Few years ago the tank on my E29 started leaking... It was only 34 years old at the time. It was a piece of cake to remove through the Launderette. I took it over to Alloy Metal in Farmingdale, NY 631-694-8163 (Long Island) and for less than $300 bucks he reproduced the exact tank. I had the new tank in two minutes and every fitting and hose fit perfectly because the tank was replicated.
It was a great Fix.
