Hi all,
Can someone clarify luff tape terminology for me.
I have older Furlex furler and in the users manual indicates that slots
in the furler foil are Ø6 mm (that's a zero with a slash through it
followed by 6mm). The notes recommend a max Ø5mm luffrope/lufftape (max Ø4
mm "hard line")
The luff on my existing jib measures 3/16 and slides up and down the
foil just fine.
I'm in the market for a head sail but all of the sail sites (new and
used) usually refer to the luff tapes as number five (#5) luff tape or
number six (#6) luff tape.
Is a Ø6mm luff tape referred to as a #6 luff tape?
Thanks
