35-3 interior cushions

Shortly after acquiring Journey my wife Nancy made new covers for the cabin cushions. She has been sewing for many years and by using the old covers as a pattern she used denim fabric and was able to create a very nice interior. There is picture posted in the Owner Profile. One problem with denim is that it fades in the sun light so we are facing another re-cover after five years.

We reused the vinyl backing the first time along with the zippers. Doubt we will be that lucky the second time. I like the idea of using the mesh backing and we may try that. The other thing we should have done was to replace the foam. We'll do that this time. It was false economy not to do it.

I think anyone with good sewing skills could probably do the same thing. The most time consuming part ws ripping the seams out of the old covers.
