Need outboard engine

Hi

I just bought a sailboat and need a used outboard - 5-6 horsepower, long shaft, 2 or 4 stroke is fine.

does anyone know of a place to buy or oder a used outboard

PS - I have an ericson 35 but it is not getting sailed so I bought a 23 Ranger

I did well on craigslist in my area. If there's one around you keep an eye on that. The boston list always has a couple small outboards for sale.

Just bought a used 3hp on eBay for a dingy I'm purchasing. It is supposed to arrive Friday (9/30). I'll let you know how it goes.

eBay Purchase

Well the motor arrived - put some gas in it - fired up on first pull. No damage during transit either. I have purchased several other items from eBay (including an Origo alcohol/electric twin burner) and have not had a bad experience - so far. Larger motors also appear to be shipped around without problems.
