1989 Ericson 38-200 FOR SALE - Mystic / Haddam, CT

Well, we have decided to place our 1989 Ericson 38-200 "Ocean Dreams" for sale again. We have sailed and loved her since 2002, but we are moving into a larger boat as our family has grown, and our sailboat needs to grow with us to give everyone their space. She is just about ready to go for the 2016 season after a few more things are finished, she has 2 coats of new Hydrocoat bottom paint, and new refreshed boot paint, 2 coats of wax and just about ready to sail. Please email me for more information, but here is a basic rundown of her equipment...

Hull:
White hull with blue boot and cove stripes
Wing keel with 5'3" draft
Hull stripped 2010 to bare glass. Repainted with Blue Hydrocoat (some minor small "boatpox" blistering...not worth the expense of repairing.) No changes since.... tiny pimples on portions of the hull
Fixed 2 blade prop, Autostream 2 blade feathering prop included, but needs minor service
New cutlass bearing 2014
New dripless shaft seal 2014

Deck, cockpit, canvas, and sails:
New coated lifelines 2015
2000 full batten mainsail in good condition with pacific blue sail cover
150% Genoa sail, purchased barely used in 2015 from a forum member, crisp and in excellent condition
Pacific blue dodger, bimini and connector
Pacific blue cockpit awning
Leather wrapped 42" Wheel
Teak cockpit table / Drink holder
Cockpit hot and cold wash down swim shower 2012
Cockpit cushions
Lewmar ST winches
Lewmar ocean series hatches
Lewmar opening and fixed ports.
Harken furler
Navtec hydraulic backstay adjuster...rebuilt 2012
50' 3/8" Chain connected to a 35# CQR anchor (never moved even a foot on anchor in 14 years)
Stainless dorade vents with teak dorade enclosures, stainless closable screened vent caps underneath.

Electronics:
Raymarine RL70CRC+ Radar / chartplotter mounted in a navpod at the helm with 2kw radome
Raymarine active heading sensor
Standard horizon spectrum VHF / Hailer DSC
RAM cockpit mic
Autohelm 4000 wheel drive autopilot linked to Raymarine GPS
Magellan nav 6500 GPS at nav station
Datamarine Depth, Speed, Wind, CDI
Stereo CD / Aux with cockpit speakers and Bose cabin speakers.

Below:
Gloss and satin varnished interior finish
2 new Lewmar angled fixed ports 2012
Solar vent
2 active dorade vents
New salon ultraleather sand tone beige interior cushions 2014
Adler Barbour 12V super cold machine refrigeration 2008
4 burner CNG stove and oven
Water heater replaced 2006
New water pump 2014
New Jabsco manual marine head 2012

Mechanical:
Universal 5432 Diesel engine, hours unknown but estimated at about 2200
Hurth transmission
exhaust elbow, raw water pump, and heat exchanger replaced 2002
Fuel pump replaced 2014
Balmar 100A alternator
(2) Group 31 house batteries 2014
(1) Group 24 engine start battery
PSS dripless shaft seal 2014
Cutlass bearing 2014

I'm sure I am forgetting tons of things to add or say. She is a beautiful vessel, and sails as good as she looks. After 14 years of sailing her, I know we will miss her.

Asking $60,000

She is currently up the CT river in Haddam, CT but will soon be in the water in her slip in Mystic CT. Please feel free to email for more pictures and information.
