Advance Elements kayak

We did our cruising last year with a tandem Advanced Elements kayak aboard, and we really liked it. We kept it stored in it's storage bag on deck, and used a 12v pump to do most of the fill, topping off with their proprietary/regulated hand pump. Takes about 10 minutes to fully assemble.

We rehearsed getting in/out of it from the swim ladder at our home dock, and found it tactical but manageable. The key is not to use the 'skirt' portion of the kayak, as it greatly closes the access area. These inflatables are nothing like our hard shell kayaks, as they are almost impossible to capsize (there, now I've done it... :nonono:).

We found it better than towing our other dinghy's (Achilles, Walker Bay), and are sure to use it again this year.
