We are asked to provide the ceiling height of the Ericson 38-200.

Our correspondent says the reports he has obtained conflict.

Anyone have a measurement? (It might be a little different from the 381)

It's about that high...

I was just talking to my friend with an '86 E-38-200. He is kind of tall, and sez he has full headroom in his sock feet, in the galley area. He is 6' 3" .
I can walk around his interior without touching, with my shoes on, but I am only 6'2".

For the record, the E381 measurements are (from vinyl headliner to sole):

75" at companionway
75" at entrance to head
74" under trim for main hatch.

The "give" of the headliner provides an additional inch before contact with the salon roof.

Sounds like the 38-200 is similar.

Pretty sure the 32-3 is the same, so does anybody know if a longer version of the same molds were used for the 38?

While the BK design is part of a 'family' design concept the hull tooling was different for the 32, 34/35, and the 38.

I measured the same 3 spots tonight on my 32-3:
- standing at entrance to head: 72" (clearance under arched doorframe into head is less)
- under aft frame of cabin top hatch: 73"
- at base of companionway, under aft-most part of head liner: 73"
