Motor mounts for My E35-3, Sketcher

I read allot of info about motor mounts on the site.....all great info I learned.

On Sketcher, my 1983 E35-3 it came with "the 3 motor mount system"...I say that NOT with fondness. Every few years the single front one would come loose.
I would epoxy the front holes and add new mounts. At one point the right back mount on bell housing broke out part of the hole.

Well, this winter became time for a 4 mount system. I talked with Stanley at Beta Marine (his place is just across the river from me). He suggested a better mount.
The yard pulled the motor, I then had a chance to clean underneath....that felt good to do. The yard added a steal plate under old mounting frame and exstended out the holes.
They welded the broken part of bell housing also.

All went back in. My wife & I left the yard, ran Sketcher through different speeds.....so much less noise and vibration.
I am a happy guy.

Nice

I've often wondered how much my engine jumps around having only the one mount in the front. Mine has a much smaller bracket under the crank pulley though and probably isn't big enough to weld an extension on. Is yours an M25? XP? I've got a 5424. Would be interested in knowing how much it cost to re-do the front mount. I think my stringers and mounting holes are all good, probably don't need to pull the motor?

Mine is a #5424. When looking at my first picture...note the original mount. Not sure of your year (mine is 1983), there was plenty of room to add the bottom plate.
The welding and plate...about $400. Because I had engine removed, 4 mounts, cleaned up wire connections, cleaning motor, changing oil, filters and a quick hall-out to inspect the strut bearing,
my total price almost $3,000.
