throttle control - Ericsson 32 1971 sailboat

HI,

I have Ericsson 32 1971 sailboat and the throttle control stick got broken. Sail ropes hit it one too many times and it snapped broken.

Any ideas where I could get a new part?

BR,

Pretty sure that is just a chromed rod, threaded on one end, likely would not be all that hard to produce. I should see if I have any chromed stainless floating around, I could likely take mine as an example and make one in the machine shop.

Go to Alameda

Blue Pelican marine consignment in Alameda has many oddball parts. You may find something that will work. It's worth a shot before paying a shop to fabricate.

Just went!

The guy was really cool, and reasonable! I got 15' of the rubrail base and a couple other parts I could use for some projects I have been thinking about. He also knows his stuff, he knows what fits what boat! Very good experience!
