Salvage sailboat parts

With the devistating hurricanes last year there must be boat parts for sale out there, somewhere. I feel for the people that lost their boats but where do all the salvage parts go?

Trying to imagine how that would work. I doubt that the people doing the clean-up have time to pick apart bits of hardware from the boats. They just need to get the hulks out of the environment. Deliver them to an enterprising junk dealer? Then after the picking, said junk dealer would have to somehow dispose of the hulls. Would he break even? I sure wouldn't mind being turned loose for a day on a pile of those boats though.
