Universal M25xp Raw Water Pump - Replacement Help

Hello Fellow Vikings,

While replacing the impeller today I noticed it is time to replace the Sherwood Raw Water Pump. I have searched online and discover that the Sherwood part# 302648 is no longer made and is now Werherbeke part 42175 and is a whopping $534!

I have searched here and found where some have replaced with an Oberdorfer 202M-15 which is a lot less expensive but it sounds like it requires some machining or modification.

Questions:
1) Does anyone have a source for the Sherwood at a good price?
2) Can someone share exactly what modifications need made to make the Oberdorfer fit instead?

Should be easy. Go with Oberdorfer. I just put one on the E38 too.
