Good Afternoon!!!!
I'm retiring from the military soon and will complete the US Sailing Intermediate Course this weekend. I intend to do a lot of long haul sailing in the coming months and years but would like to crew for someone for a bit to gain some insights and experience along the way before I start single handing or go out with inexperienced folks further than San Diego Bay. Any takers on my offer or suggestions on where to go to be picked up as a crew member? (FYI, I have little experience outside of my US Sailing classes but have enough common sense to get myself in and out of rural Alaska without freezing to death or eaten by a bear!) I'm handy with most things electrical, plumbing and woodworking if the skipper or boat captain that takes me on needs help.
