Yes, the previous owner wanted more dry goods/apparel storage.

Interesting what they did with the port settee. It's a single seat now and looks like more storage.

It's a very nice feature as you get more room for clothing for cruising. It's much easier than stuffing your clothes into 1 locker or into the v-berth holding area.
