Electrical-

All new DC wiring though out the boat with new AC panel and DC panel at the navigation table as well as a new DC panel in the cockpit for easier access. All interior lights were fit with Dr. LED white lights with Dr. LED red lights installed on most interior fixtures. Two LED flood lights were installed, one above the kitchen sink and another above the starboard settee. 4 lights feature a very low draw LED to aid in finding the light switch in dark conditions. All exterior lights with the exception of the steaming light are LED as well. 4 12 volt outlets were installed through out the boat to add to its diversity, one at the navigation table, one in the head, one at the starboard settee and one in the cockpit combing. Six Caframo 2-speed fans spread throughout the boat help with keeping things cool when the temperature rises.

The main house bank was rebuilt and is comprised of 4-6 volt deep cycle batteries. The starting battery is a group 31 and the windlass is powered by two group 24 batteries. Two 50 watt and two 60 watt solar panels were added to supplement charging while at anchor and is regulated by two 25 amp MMPT charge controllers. A Mastervolt Powercharger 12/20-3 was added for charging via AC power. Starting battery charging is controlled by a 120 A Si* Blue Sea ACR. The forward bank charging (24 volts) is controlled by a B.E.P. Marine 24v Bank controller.

The Blue Sea VSM (Vessel Systems Monitor) was added to monitor boat functions along with real time information on house bank voltage, starting battery voltage, DC amps (+/-), charge %, Ah remaining, diesel levels, main water tank levels as well as a myriad of other options with up to 22 measurements and 15 programmable alarms.

A Blue Sea AC rotary switch was put in to select between shore power or one of two inverters installed keeping options open on power usage. The larger of the two, a Xantrex XPower 1000 is installed under the navigation table behind the drawers and is operated remotely. The smaller, a 375 watt inverter is installed in the same compartment as the battery charger under the seat of the navigation table.

Electronics-

A Standard Horizon Matrix AIS GX2100 was put in at the navigation table which provides AIS information on vessels up to 15 miles away, has programmable fog functions, PA and IC abilities. The GX2100 is linked to the Raymarine A65 chart plotter as well as the RAM3 in the cockpit. A new matched antenna was installed atop the mast as well as a 4' Galaxy 5400-XT VHF antenna on the back rail. A switch to select between the antennas was installed and is done manually at the navigation station and is handy for keeping broadcasting distance low or as an emergency VHF antenna in the event of a demasting.

A Sony CDX-M20 stereo was put in at the navigation table and hooked up to two Bose speakers to enjoy music or movie on the 23" Samsung TV mounted on the bulkhead. In the cockpit, there is a Jensen Marine stereo which drives two weather proof speakers for entertaining underway or at anchor.

A Raymarine ST60 depth finder was put in to keep your keel off the bottom and is located to port of the companion way. It also swivels 180 degrees so you can keep an eye on your depth while anchoring solo.

Self steering is provided by "Sinclair", a Raymarine Smart Pilot X-5 wheel autopilot.

For finding fish, wrecks or anything else underwater, a Lowrance Elite 4x Fishfinder with RAM mount was outfitted on the boat providing all the necessary information to find fish from the boat or the dinghy.

An EuGenius Wifi antenna was also installed on the back rail to help pull in wifi signals while at anchor while an Ubiquiti Bullet stands as back up or can be used to broadcast your own network.

Above Deck-

The previous anchor pan prevented the installation and use of a windlass and so was customized providing enough room for the Lofrans 1500 Project windlass, 125' 3/8" HT chain and 300' of line. The windlass is controlled by two foot switches on the deck.

Any intrusion into the balsa cored deck was treated with epoxy between the layers and redrilled to prevent any water intrusion. The deck was repainted with a two-part polyurethane paint in "Oyster White" and flattened with a flattening agent.

The 6" aluminum cleats were replaced with 8" stainless steel cleats and backed with a square of 1/4" starboard and 4 large fender washers. Chocks and rub rub rails were also added to the bow while only chocks were added to the stern. All stanchions, the bow and stern rail were pulled, backed with starboard and fender washers and rebedded along with the car tracks and opening hatches. A rub rail was also added onto the toe rail at the opening on the gate on either side.

All new running rigging was put up (combination of Sta Set and Sta Set X) as well as a synthetic topping lift made from Amsteel. New blocks were added to the base of the mast to run lines aft. Lifelines were replaced with Amsteel and have been removed when not in use. All lines were run aft to aid in single handing and are managed by Harken deck organizers and Spinlock line clutches. All winches are original and include two self tailing Barient 32, a self tailing Barient 23 and two non-self tailing Barient 21 which were pulled off, de-greased and had new pawls, springs and were re-lubed. Traveler controls were updated with Harken cam locks.

All 4 non-opening windows were removed and rebedded.

A Garhauer engine lift was added to the back deck as well as fishing pole holders under the bimini.

For pleasure at anchor, a 3'x2' 6-louvered flopper stopper with custom padded canvas case was added and is deployed from the boom.

Plumbing-

All hoses were replaced. New deck fills with the exception of the diesel were put in. 15mm Pex tubing was ran from each water tank to an area under the sink where tank selection takes place. A Jabsco VFLO 5.0 Diamond series pump was installed for the pressurized side of things. The salt water and fresh water foot pumps were rebuilt with the fresh water side now flowing through a 5 micron carbon filter for tasting pleasure. There is also a 110v inline UV filter that can be put in on the foot pump side for questionable water. All fresh water fittings are 15mm Sea Tech quick connect fittings. All tanks were fit with an 8" opening port for ease of access to clean.

A Jabsco manual marine toilet was installed as well as a 5 gallon waste tank. A Shurflow 3200 macerator pump and a series of three way valves control waste product. Trident Marine sanitation hose was used to limit permeation smell.

Both sinks received a new fixture, the shower a new hose and head as well as a rebuild job on the fixture.

A Whale Twist Deck shower was installed in the cockpit for ease of rinsing snorkeling or dive gear as well as showering.

Two Rule bilge pumps were installed to maintain nuisance water and the manual pump located in the cockpit was rebuilt and rehosed.

The engine received new hoses as well as a new Groco ARG water strainer. A new raw water pump was installed on the engine with a 50 micron water filter put inline afterwards to catch impeller bits should it break apart, thus keeping them from lodging in the HE. The 2" heat exchanger was upgraded to a 3" heat exchanger. The exhaust received a new stainless steel mixing elbow and the inline check valve was removed.

Interior-

The veneer in the main saloon around the ports has been replaced. The floor was stripped and refinished raw with oil. The galley found many improvements including shelving (which gave a 200% increase in storage), knife rack and cup rack. A Norcold conversion kit was installed in the forward ice box providing cold beer for few amps. The rear fridge/ice box compressor was found to be nonoperational thus disconnected and removed.

Screens were built for all opening ports as well as the two main hatches. The wet locker was converted into more storage with the addition of shelves as well as half of the hanging locker. The head also found its self with a new shelf for added storage. 2" of foam was added in the aft cabin for sleeping comfort.

Custom linens were also made for the v berth.

Propulsion-

The engine was found in great condition and only required a few items. However, the entire engine was rewired and plumbed. New starter and new raw water pump were installed. A K&N air filter was installed as well.

The propeller was replaced with a Variprofile feathering three bladed prop.

The original Harken furler series B found its self an additional genoa for downwind sailing in it's dual track as well as a spare. The mainsail had the headboard replaced, another reef added and the slugs sewn on. A Doyle Cruising spinnaker was added to the assortment for light wind sailing and is easy to douse and deploy with it's sock to complete the array of 4 sails.

Anchoring-

A Rocna 33 was put on the bow with 125' of 3/8 HT chain and 300' of 5/8" line to hold the boat in place. The stern anchor was added and consists of a Guardian G 37 with 60' of 5/16 HT chain and 200 feet of 1/2" line that deploys off a stern anchor roller. There is a 20' length of 3/8 chain to connect the stern anchor to the Rocna for supreme holding power. A y-bridal with chain hook was custom built and added to the arsenal.

Hull and Bottom-

Hauled out, blisters removed (very few) and was painted with three coats of ablative paint in 2012. Was hauled out again in 2013 and another coat of ablative paint was applied.
