Fuel Delivery Problem

I have and Ericson 381 that has been in storage for 15 years. It is equipped with a Universal 5432 diesel engine. New clean fuel is being supplied to the injection pump, but not going through the pump. I have the inspection plate off. When the throttle is pulled should the polished rod move?
Do I need to remove the injector pump and have it repaired or tested. This I believe is a Kabota engine and I have local kabota dealerships, should I take it to one of those dealerships?
Open to suggestions?

Dennis,
Welcome to the Ericson group.

I have never (yet) had to deal with the high pressure pump. Every other part, though.

You might want to do some searching on the site on injection pump and for diesel engine trouble shooting in general.

There is also info around here on exact Kubota model for each Universal model designation. More searching.

Keep us updated.
