"Nook Color" tablet reader

So I got my wife a nook color to read all of her books on for christmas, I have had a iphone. And now have moved toward the android software now sporting the evo, I lije how I can teather the nook with the evo and have service almost anywhere, I now have to explain why I am always messing around with her reader, now wanting to root the device and put all of my sailing stuff on the little tablet.

I am writing this with the nook right now, its fast and almost a third of the cost of the ipad.

Anyone else have one?

Yes - a sort of 1970s Disco-OffWhite, with a hint of Gottlieb Pinball Cabinet black-splatter - if memory serves.
