Sailboat rentals in So. Cal.

A friend is looking to rent small sailboats between MDR and Long Beach.

He wants something larger than Lasers but mainly for day sailing.

I know the UCLA docks at MDR might be one possibility but wonder what other alternatives there might be ?

Where to rent a boat in MDR.

Sven, While in the Isthmus last week, a Hunter 30 took the mooring next to us. It turned out to be a couple from Santa Barbara who drove to Marina del Rey and rented it from Blue Water http://www.bluewatersailing.com/. You might want to give them a try. Regards, Glyn

There are a couple of J-80s in King Harbor with an organization of some sort. I believe they are rentable. There is also a Marina Sailing office at King Harbor but I believe their smallest boat in the fleet is an Ericson 26. Hope that helps.
