Off to Catalina

Just in case any of you SoCal E-boats are planning the same I will be heading to Isthmus next week and will probably be there Tuesday through Thursday at least.

I'm heading off this evening for Two Harbors with a return on Sunday.

May return on Tuesday-if so will see you there. I'm told the water is quite warm and visibility excellent.

All right John. Look for the Ericson Pirate flying from my spreader.

Southwest winds are in the forecast. Coming up the coast from Oceanside makes that a dream come true.

Just returned from a short stay at Two Harbors.

There were at least six Ericsons there.

Beautiful weather. Did a little scuba and hiking.

Return trip was windless until we hit the shipping channel. Wind kicked up to 15+. We had way too much sail, 170 headsail, got soaked and had a blast. Made great time, 35 miles in six hours +.

On the trip over we had no wind the entire trip to the island. The burn rate on my A4 is 1.1 gallon per hour at 6 knots +
